My career in evaluation started fairly traditionally. I joined a small firm as a Research Assistant in early 2014 with no idea what evaluation was, or what I was in for! Since then I have:
- Co-founded and grown an organisation (First Person Consulting) to a team of 16 people working on a range of projects
- Led or substantively contributed to more than 150 different projects across health, social justice, and the environment
- Led a range of training and capability building initiatives, from public training through to enterprise-wide programs.
I'm not one to sit still, and I'm always eager to learn about new things that might add value to evaluation. This has included design methodologies and mindsets (e.g. design thinking), systems methodologies (particularly Social Network Analysis), and other random bits and pieces.
