About me
Wendy Jarvie is a former Deputy Secretary in the Australian Public Service (APS) and is now Adjunct Professor at the Public Service Research Group at the University of NSW in Canberra. Over the last 30 years she has conducted and managed evaluations in the APS and for the World Bank, as well as doing evaluation research, teaching and advising, including an eight-year period as a member of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Independent Evaluation Committee for Australian Aid. She is happy to discuss any aspect of evaluation but is particularly interested in the use of RCTs which have been effective in producing robust evidence to inform international development programs. She has a PhD in Geography as well as post graduate degrees in computer science and engineering science, and an undergraduate degree in History.
