Margaret Kabare is a senior researcher at the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) based in Melbourne, Victoria. She has undertaken research and evaluation work in a wide range of fields including public health/health promotion, education, and gender sectors. Her current research work focuses on understanding the drivers, experience and impacts of economic insecurity with a focus on women in regional Australia, and evaluating the impact of place-based initiatives for improving economic possibilities for women. This work is part of the broader BSL's SEED project. Margaret has a PhD in sociology and a Masters of Social Development and Management.
