Dr Catherine Wade is Principal Research Specialist at the Parenting Research Centre and a Research Affiliate with the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney. Catherine is leading a programme of research at the Parenting Research Centre investigating aspects of the knowledge-to-practice gap in the provision of supports to families across sectors. Examples of her current research include a nation-wide study examining organisational and practitioner influences on adoption of evidence-based practices across the early childhood, family support and child welfare sectors, and a range of continuous quality improvement projects to support the evaluation of the effectiveness of implementation strategies aimed at supporting the high fidelity use of parenting programs and parenting supports, including for the Intensive Family Support Service targeting child neglect across the Northern Territory, and the MyTime peer support strategy.
