About me
Since 2020, Sophie has been a Policy Advisor at the Australian Human Rights Commission, working on the landmark Wiyi Yani U Thangani (Women’s Voices) Project, led by previous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, June Oscar AO. Most recently, she has co-lead the design and development of the Wiyi Yani U Thangani Change Agenda and the establishment of the Wiyi Yani U Thangani Institute for First Nations Gender Justice, at the ANU. Previously, Sophie held various roles at Jawun—a not-for-profit organisation facilitating secondments from corporate and public sectors to First Nations community organisations—including leading evaluation, reporting, communications and leaderships programs.
