Lucy has more than 20 years of monitoring and evaluation experience in both the Australian and international contexts. She is trained in trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches, and committed to ensuring that the voices of people with lived experience are respected and heard. As the Director of Evaluation and Impact at ANROWS, she brings her extensive experience in evaluating complex programs and systems change initiatives across diverse contexts, with a strong focus on DFV and the criminal justice system.
Prior to her work with ANROWS, she worked as an evaluation and policy consultant – which included working on family violence projects for the Centre for Innovative Justice, amongst others – and most recently as Lead Principal with Clear Horizon. At Clear Horizon, she led numerous evaluations across multiple sectors, including criminal justice, Domestic and Family Violence, education, public health and homelessness, and provided coaching and mentoring to clients in evaluation, measurement and co-design. She has a particular passion for equity and elevating the voices of people with lived experience in evaluation, drawing on trauma informed approaches and incorporating approaches that seek to decolonise evaluation when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
